There's a small possibility that Netflix will reduce Keiko's part to focus solely on Yusuke. What that means is the live-action depiction will have an equally influential role to play, if not more so. While Keiko doesn't get involved in too much of the action, she's integral in the Spirit Detective's passing, resurrection, and his subsequent adventure battling escape demons in the source material. Keiko being a central character may sound strange, but it's necessary for establishing Yusuke's origin in the first season of Yu Yu Hakusho. She made us well aware of that fact during her time on GOT, then provided audiences with more proof in her cinematic debut as Wolfsbane in Fox's New Mutants. At the height of its run, Togashi was allowing himself as little as five hours of sleep a night and it began to take a toll on his health, even at his young age at the time.In addition to the right look, Williams possesses the acting prowess necessary to play a lead character.
